Allow myself to introduce...myself. (any austin powers fans out there?? I know that totally dates me, haha)
In a nutshell, I love simple, classic style; bags big or small; my Southern roots and any and all sweets.
I was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida and attended Florida State University (Go Noles!). Moved to Colorado after college for a few years and then headed back to my home state where I got married, started Oatmeal Lace and had my son, Beckett in 2011. We completed our family with the addition of our daughter Emerson in 2015, the same year we moved to Chicago, where we lived for 3.5 years before moving back to Colorado (where I had been hoping we would end up permanently).
TIME FLIES PEOPLE!
Oatmeal Lace was started after rediscovering my love for sewing and textiles, especially once I started planning my own wedding. Our initial offerings catered to bridal parties & wedding professionals; creating classic, heirloom quality accessories that we customized to embody the feel of your special day or highlight your brand. When Covid hit, out focus turned towards equipping our front line workers with masks to help keep them safe, and then as demand grew and guidelines for the nation changed, we started offering masks to the general public. We like to keep our personalized spin in the forefront of all we do, which is why we started monogramming our masks. They were not a product we ever envisioned offering but we are happy they seem to have added a little bit of fun and light to an otherwise bizarre and unpredictable year.
