this is the first year beck has been in a class for valentines day with more than 4 kids (this year there are 24!!!). I asked beck what we should do for his friends and he said that we should give everyone 'lots and lots of candy.' um, good idea, son. let's try again. I (being the procrastinator that I am) waited until this week to get my act together, so I did a quick search on pinterest to see what was:
a. easy,
b. inexpensive, and
c. didn't require a lot of crafty skills.
stumbled across this idea on Delia Creates who originally adapted the design from Craftiness is not Optional. simple, cute, no candy involved AND what three year old doesn't love glow sticks?!
between the target dollar bin (15 glowsticks for $1) and office depot printing these for me on cardstock I was only out $5. score! if you use the paper cutter at office depot, or are crafty enough to have one at home, the only other tool you need is a hole punch so that you can thread the glowstick through the card.
delia creates has a black and white printable HERE that you can use and I included one HERE in case you wanted the little pop of color in the heart. happy last minute valentine crafting, folks!
ps- i've got a happy three year old on my hands who is really glad there were some extras. :)
